Molly Fairhurst is a freelance illustrator, who graduated last year from our university. She explores the human form and focuses on using bright colours and comments on serious themes but uses her child-like aesthetic to add a layer of humour to the pieces she creates.
She has done a few interviews for the website "itsnicethat.com", and has expressed the influence of music through her illustrations, and how this exploration has directed her to explore animation.
I decided to contact her as one of the 10 practitioners. Because I want to become freelance and create illustrations but also experiment with animation, I decided to base my questions around her transition from student to successful free-lancer.
